Original lower front bar shows Peugeot acknowledges such things

Front and rear stabilizers were added to cut out that floating feeling experienced in the stock Peugeot 407. The stock lower front bar was retained since it compliments the engine cover. Even the mechanic said the original was good enough. A 4-point front member brace was the last bar to be added but only after the engine cover was drilled to allow access.

Coming home, I had the opportunity to test the car on the outer loop from the Federal Highway into Subang Jaya from Klang at a speed past 90kph, the car took it superbly. It is really difficult to put into words the experience felt before and after the modifications were done, the best I can think of is wearing a loose pair of trousers with and without a belt. Is it worth the investment? If you are the rear passenger and demand more comfort, if you enjoy a more stable ride eventhough the car is driven slowly or just like me, a driver's driver...yes! This completes the road-holding modification for my ride. However, the (lower) front member brace is the only shortcoming because of its short but extended 4 legs which has a tendency to scrap many a road hump sometimes at shopping malls, other times at housing estates. I plan to see the assembler on day (don't know when) and want them to shave off as much as possible the legs without weakening the joint.

The rat that caused that intermittent noise was found so the
exhaust pipe was
lifted by its support not to touch the stabilizer.

Maintenance - Cat shooer

Of lately, cats have been making the roof of whichever car that is parked under the porch their favourite nap-spot. This can resulted in numerous scratch marks over the bonnet. I have tried to polish off the scratch marks but some of them are deep and permanent. This has to stop and I tried hard to think of a solution while not hurting them then an idea popped up. I immediately went straight to a supermarket and for less than RM10, came back with a water-cannon. I keep it filled with water and rest it behind the TV rack. It has come in handy on 2 occasions where with not much than an utter, I've hit the cats on target much to their surprise. So far, it has served it's purpose well but the condition is that I must catch them in the act for them to understand what they are doing is a NO-NO. The jet squirt is effective up to a distance of 10-15 feet depending on how much pressure I give. So far so good.
